Before-After

Summer coming to an end…?

New month come and go, new season heading its way. Hi everyone! I just realized that I didn’t get to blog this month in August at all….! And what, it’s already going into a new month, September. ..!? Hope you are all doing well and had a nice summer filled with fun plans and laughter. August seemed like it just came and went. It’s been now already 3 months since we’ve been back from Japan, but ever since we’ve been back, it feels like we had our days packed.

Fundamentals are the key!

Who likes the cobra pose? If you’re a vinyasa-lover like myself (I do love a good mix of continuous vinyasa flow in my practice.), cobra pose (Bhujangasana) plays an important role. It allows you to find that strength and breath during your flow, gives you the moment to find inner stability grounding yourself from your lower back, and getting that lengthening in your spine, shoulders and the upper body.

Summertime yoga schedule

July is here, summer is here! It feels so nice to be back in my yoga-mode and having my regular online sessions again. Since I didn’t have good internet connection while I was in Japan, we didn’t get to have any online sessions in May. So now that I’m back, I need to get right back into it…..! And also catch up on the lessons we have missed! Who’s with me!? In July I am planning two sessions, July 11th and July 25th. (both would be on Sunday at 9:30am /16:30pm Japan). Now that the weather is getting nice and summery, I am sure I would be holding some outdoor sessions.

June: Ready For More Yoga?

Happy summer days, everyone! It’s feeling like summer already here in Japan, but I hear that in Germany, it’s just PERFECT. The weather is about 22 degrees, nice and dry and pleasant. It’s been nice and sunny here in Japan at the moment as well, but it is already feeling like this muggy humid summer. It’s almost 28-30 degrees and it’s so hard to be outside during the daytime.

Taking some time to focus…

Good Self-care time during the quarantine is much needed. It’s been already a while since my last post and look at this….it’s already May! And mid May that is. Oh boy oh boy. It was nice that I got to hold my last yoga session end of April. Some last-minute decision to fly to Japan to see my parents actually happened and yes, we were in a 2-week quarantine at home and we were finally able to go outside 3 days ago!

March upcoming lessons

Feeling happy for Spring? 2021 is now already into its 3rd month…March! So let’s roll your mat out and get mindful. It’s getting sunny outside and I think it’s good to think positive and start to feel happy for the warm days coming around the corner.

:: February upcoming lessons ::

Who’s ready for some more yoga? I hope you are all enjoying some wintery days — and if you’re in Japan, enjoying your spring-like weather. I heard that in Japan it’s getting warmer and it almost felt like spring! Here in our village, it was minus degrees for the last few days (let’s say a whole week) and we really saw WINTER. It was surely my first time to experience this much snow.

My yogi life meets Prenatal yoga

yoga has been part of my life since I was 20.

And now, I turned 38 (yup……this is 38!) and I am so proud and feeling privileged that I have been keeping my dedication to yoga for all these year. Moving around 3 different countries — USA, Japan, then Germany — embraced yoga in my hometown in Redondo Beach, California, and kept my practice going in Japan while I struggled with some culture shock.

Autumn yoga time: October lessons

Today is a national holiday here in Germany. It’s the Reunification day when the former East and the West Germany rejoined to be “one Germany”. That happened in 1989, so it’s been already 30 years. WOW…….
Now it’s already October! 2020 is passing by so fast, but I am sure no one would really miss 2020……*lol*
