About Me

That's my Story

I first met yoga when I was 20, in Redondo Beach California, in my hometown.  Growing up in southern California, I have done many different kind of sports and outdoor activities under the sun. I was always active – roller blading, skateboarding, volleyball, basketball… I was on the basketball team for my high school so that was quite competitive.

Growing up...

…only knowing sports which meant “speed, sweat, and action”, it was a new awakening in me when I discovered yoga. Yoga reached out to me to calm myself down and to get back to my self ‘within’. It was the first time I felt like I was able to channel deep down into my soul and really ‘see myself’. It was the exact opposite from competitive sports; yoga is not a competition.

It was time to let go of all the competitiveness that other sports have taught me, and to let go of any negative thoughts or anger or worries and just be present. To focus on the moment and to focus on yourself.  How often do we really listen to our own breath? It is the most natural thing we do as humans yet we never really take the time to do so.

Yoga has truly...

… changed me and brought me only the positiveness out of me.  I was able to always find my inner peace whenever I rolled out my mat.  The minute I closed my eyes to connect with my breath — and was able to gather my energy through pranayama — I found gratitude. And I was able to find acceptance in that moment, in my practice, in my asanas, and myself.

The most important

thing was that I felt happy about what I was able to accomplish in that practice every time I went on my mat.  I have found patience because yoga is about appreciating the time and taking the time for yourself.  Yoga is about accepting what you can do at that present moment.

Yoga has helped me change my perspectives mentally, physically, and emotionally.

our feet grounded, our minds grounded, and our hearts open with love. I am here to be your “supporter” to share my love for yoga with you all. Let’s find gratitude and lots of smiles together with yoga.

Namaste.

My Yoga Style...

My yoga style is focused on Hatha yoga, focusing on holding the poses in a steady manner while channeling down to connect with your breath work.  Yoga should never be a ‘must’ and it should always be ‘a try’ but I always like to have some challenges by mixing some good vinyasa for some physical and mental strengthening and building a bond with your inner-self.

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT 200) from Yogi Shivadas the founder of Kailash Tribal School of Yoga and Holistic Health.  My practice is always to this day still dedicated to my very first yoga teacher, Denise Ginszauskas, who is still my mentor.
