Good Self-care time during the quarantine is much needed.
It’s been already a while since my last post and look at this….it’s already May! And mid May that is. Oh boy oh boy. It was nice that I got to hold my last yoga session end of April. Some last-minute decision to fly to Japan to see my parents actually happened and yes, we were in a 2-week quarantine at home and we were finally able to go outside 3 days ago! What a crazy once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. I mean, we had to stay 3 days in a hotel and we were not allowed to go out the room AT ALL. We were really locked in. We had food delivered to us 3 times a day, and there was an announcement saying when the food has been delivered. Only then we were allowed to open the door to get the food that was in front of our door WITH A MASK and simply quickly close the door and eat. And when we were done with eating, we had to put on the mask and put the trash outside our door. I guess it wasn’t too bad for us since we were able to look forward to what was coming for our meals and take enough rest and to catch up on our sleep. This was a good way to enjoy each other’s company as a family and to fix our jet lags. (haha) It was also a good way to try some yoga in the hotel room. My husband wanted to do his daily yoga routine so that he can stay in shape even during the quarantine. After the 3 days and another “negative” test, we were then able to go home to do the rest of the quarantine. I FINALLY REUNITED WITH MY PARENTS!!!! *yay* Luckily my parents have a large enough garden for us to sit outside for breakfast or even try some yoga outside, so it gave us more freedom and kind of a luxurious quarantine. It’s been about 1.5 years that I haven’t seen my parents, so it felt super awesome to see them LIVE rather than on video chat. Corona has been around for a year already and we all have to deal with it. I know there are more chances to try things online due to this pandemic, but I can’t wait for the time when we can again enjoy yoga together in person.

In the mean time, I would try and film some more yoga videos and some more Instagram posts so that I can keep up my yoga practice and still keep you all posted with my yoga lessons/ yoga advice. I already have some short videos ready so you can check out my instagram for some. After the quarantine time of being tracked down, and needing to check in 2 to 3 times a day with all these smartphone apps, it’s nice not to worry about someone “watching over us”.
Right now the weather in Japan is wonderful — very green and lush everywhere — and it’s great to go outside and take some time to flow. I try and find time to do a little flow session for myself at time to time. Stay tuned for some more videos. And stay mindful and let’s all enjoy the sunshine!
Virtual hugs to you all and Namaste <3
