Staying Mindful

Bringing in positive mindset onto the mat.

Let’s always try and stay positive and happy — that’s easier said than done in these difficult times at the moment, right? But what we need to focus on is truly to stay grateful for what we got at the moment and try to look forward at some of the positive things in life. This pandemic has brought all of us sadness, negative feelings, unpleasantness, hardships…..and the list goes on for all the negative words. I am thankful that I can do my online yoga sessions still and THANK YOU to those of you that joined me on January 16th and the 24th. I had again quite an international session, having yogis from Japan, Poland, Germany, and it’s so awesome that we can all gather together (even if it’s online) to breath and focus on oneself for the 70-minutes we have together.

January is already coming to an end. This year has just begun and we do hope for some normality (even just a little bit of good happy news would help). I know that traveling to Japan to see my parents might still be difficult and this really breaks my heart. Here in our village is very peaceful and I am blessed that we are here. This winter feels more like a “real winter” with all the snowy days and for me, a Californian girl, going sledding or playing in the snow is not my specialty. Rather I have never even ridden a sled before. So this January was something special — trying new things like sledding and playing with the snow A LOT.

Please stay tuned for my lessons in February. I will update my yoga schedule as soon as I organize my calendar. I am always so happy to see you all flowing with me on the other side of my screen.

It sure is a funny concept when you think about yoga being all about “staying natural” yet we have to use our digital technology to practice yoga together.

But yet again, this is our option and it’s one of the greatest things that we can be thankful for. Thank you, Internet for allowing us to continue to practice yoga together despite the pandemic lockdown. Stay focused and mindful.

See you all soon in February!
